tiger leaping gorge

one of the most beautiful places around. it was approximately a 25k hike through the mountains of southwest china and a contender for the deepest river gorge in the world. the roaring yangzi... on the other side of the country from my little bit of the yangzi it wouldn't have been too bad, except for the manhole incident, which caused me to take many a tumble and constantly stare at my feet to be sure they connected with the ground on each step.
sooo since i was bit slow (HUGE understatement), we split up with our friends maggie, jenny, alec and jess for parts of the day and took lots of breaks just sitting and enjoying the view. took so many that we ended up walking in the dark. we ate a ridiculous amount of food and stayed in a really nice guesthouse that night, and continued the walk the next day...
truly spectacular.

Great pictures, and as I said before, looks like you guys have a wonderful and amazing trip. Getting on a train for 58hrs into deep China might be a hell of an experience. Will continue checking your blog, it's very interesting the trip you are doing now. NICE PICS AGAIN.
