chillin

nothing to do. i'm trying really hard to stay positive and keep myself really busy. i swear my afghan is going to be done in record time.

went on a walk today. watched an amazing movie called the Lake House, about a couple whose lives are intertwined but are living in different years. it brought back my love for keanu. a good story with a good ending. i think i need to watch it again though. it was really touching and however fictitious it may be, it really made me smile. i also just read a book about a woman with an invisible (NOT imaginary!) friend. between the two it makes me dream about having a friend with someone that doesn't conventionally exist. weird huh... it would be fun to have one. so invisible friends out there, take note, you can come visit me.

my buddy mary left yesterday and i am in a bit of a bummy mood. we had a fun last few days together though. i know we will stay in touch but it is still sad as yangzhong is a kinda lonely place. correction. very lonely.

countdown 10 days til paul comes over. i am thrilled. have to keep thinking of that because it is going to get me through the next week- that and planning some of our fun adventures.

listening to some football on the internet right now... looks like there are going to be some great upsets! i'm pulling for byu and cincinnati to pull out some stunning upsets.... perhaps not likely for cincy but they have had a great first half. it's a shame we aren't playing a highly ranked team this week, as we could maybe move ourselves up.

been doing some cooking too. lots of curry pastes and yummy spices from my summer travels... very cool to relive the fun. also got some yummy cajun food in the mail from n-dawg. she rocks my world. trying to stay healthy in these long evenings i spend with me and my hobbies but sometimes it isn't too successful. what is it about all the freaking carbs in chinese food that just make you feel bloated all the time!

my parents are at psu this weekend- being hosted by mike. what a fun thing to go back to your alma mater and relive the days. i'm already planning my first weekend back at school when i get back to the states.

go state.
