The Last Days of Summer

ok- going to do some retroactive postings and catch you up on my life... i had an amazing 2 weeks- hence the lack of emails and blogs!- and am now back in sunny YangZhong...

SOOOOO

i met up with two boys on the dive boat and the three of us, along with two girls from the US, became thick as thieves for a week, traveling to multiple cities and meeting for meals and adventures. kerrie and martha left to go down to the mekong delta and then jordan, chris and i headed north to hanoi and halong bay for a few days before i came back into china. lots of laughs, fun, adventures, memories, food and rum. sounds like a bad song, doesn't it?

well here's some of the best of the past few weeks- email me if you want to see more:)

thor the norwegian scuba love god. you can't really tell but he is a sexy man and looks like he should have been on the cover of a harlequin romance. i talked to him on the dive boat and he kept telling me about hiking fjords and other associated scandinavian things... even the boys admitted to him being striking.

jordan peacing with the kids.

we rented motorbikes one day- and someone had the bright idea to climb up a hill on our motorbikes... which led to an accident, an almost accident and a freakish out of control ascent. the boys to the rescue.

phosphorescent algae on china beach.

china beach rocks my world. we stayed at a great hostel on the beach that was definitely off the tourist track. about 15 other foreign folk were there and we had family style dinners. beautiful and quiet and a fantastic place to stay.

chris and i shared a plate of dog meat

the girls waiting on the street corner for the bus. we were taking a local bus in vietnam... it was SO hard to get off the tourist trail but we did it!

the mountains of halong bay.
