angkor what?

angkor temple

ta prom. the temples are so old that the trees around just engulf them. really jungley feel.

ta prom- the tombraider temple- one of the few that hasn't been touched

akman on the motorbike... and note the requisite mole with long hairs coming out of it...

the bayon temple
one of the most stunning places i have ever been. actually perhaps the most. cambodia goes up there as my favorite place to visit and this is a huge reason why. i hired a motorbike driver named akman to drive me around today and we did about 10 temples or so and i just wandered, ate, read, drew, wrote, played with little kids, met cool people and enjoyed my day immensely. the temples are all so different and i am just stunned by their size and the peaceful atmosphere that they give off.
really amazing people and absolutely breathtaking scenery. i hear that tombraider was filmed at ta prom, one of the fantastic jungley ones, but i havent seen it so i dont know.
lots of little kids that are trying to sell crap everywhere you go, so that is a bit overwhelming, but most of them just want some human interaction, so it is cool to be able to chill with little kids and share your food and chat with them.
anyhow, going to share a guide with two cool americans and a german lady tomorrow. should be fun times.

This is one of those weird coincidence days... I am actually watching Tomb Raider for the first time this week (I'm halfway through it). How cool is it that you get to see it first hand while I'm watching it here at home?! Awesome.
