24-26 Pai

Took a 13 hour bus from hell. Serious hell. It was a sleeper bus packed with smelly people and we traversed Thailand on dirt roads, slamming to the sides of the bus while avoiding dirt holes and tree branches. The only thing that gave me hope was that a boy monk was sitting in front of me and I didn'd think God would strike us down because of the boy monk...

The stars were amazing though. I felt like I was in space mountain with the 3d stars everywhere and in huge picture windows...

Met Tara at the bus station in Chiang Mai this morning, and we took yet another rickety bus to the small town of Pai, Thailand's Yangshuo (see Yangshuo CHINA old blog). We are going to do a white water rafting/camping/waterfall two day trek tomorrow so will be away from techno-land but all is well...

Staying in a great guesthouse on the river here and took a long nap while Tara read.. Pretty nice.
