week 7

week 7 is done.

countdown 14 weeks left.

this week was a good one... of my 10 classes, 5 were cancelled... go figure... that's a total of 3 hours and 20 minutes that i worked this week. i really hate weeks like this actually cause i down and out with nothing to do... but really, with tv, life is way better... speaking of, i'm watching kirk right now...

some highlights...
-we had another egg drop, which was very successful. 6 of the 7 eggs did not break when we dropped them! i have some videos and am trying to put together a little montage to show on here but i need a little help... any video/internet savvy folks out there that want to help me out?
-we had a music lesson... meaning we listened to 15 different songs, ranging from bob marley to the chili peppers and barenaked ladies... i had the kids write how they felt about each song and what they liked and didn't... i am still re-reading their papers and am cracking up with their pictures of themselves dancing to "Hey Ya" and pouting faces of them listening to Johnny Cash... The overall favorites were the Indigo Girls, Jimmy Buffet and ABBA, while their least favorites were the 'limbo' song and much to my chagrin.... the Penn State Blue Band!
-played some intense games of UNO with my 4th graders...

-my friend angela and a bunch of my students were running in the city-wide sports competition this weekend so i went to cheer them on. i brought my pompom and they had never seen one and loved it. angela did great and the kids and i played some more UNO while in between races

angela is 4391. she came in third in the 1500m race.

as for new info... my madre is coming to visit soon so i am working on our fun filled itinerary but otherwise, a chilled out night in the yz.
