hickies

I had a massage today. One of the best things about living in China is $3 massages. Blind Man Massages. Apparently the government gives some sort of tax relief or stipend to these parlors because they employ blind people. They are fantastic and today the man told me that my neck and back were "boo how" (phonetically pronounced) which means very bad. He put these little plastic cups all over my back and vacuumed out the air to produce tight little hickey suctions... and therefore really great bruises on my back and shoulders. I was blown away when I looked in the mirror. It doesn't hurt, and didn't hurt when he did it, just a strange sensation... Crazy, huh?
