Adventuring

A few weeks ago, a group of us, led by Zhong Wei Yuin (otherwise known as Alone Man), went on a bike trip around the island. Our goal was to do 50+ km but somewhere around 30 we got really tired and decided to head back. Finishing about 40 k over about 5 hours. We did about 1/4 of the island and would love to pickup where we left off to finish out the whole thing... But in smaller spurts... Turns out the island is a lot bigger than we thought it was! Some background- Alone Man is a 30something Chinese man that teaches PE at Dyan and Poli's school. He is really fabulous and very single, which is no good at his age and everyone wants to set him up. He is the island champ at bike racing so he was the perfect guide for us... Actually not really... he thought we were lazy because we stopped every 5 k to have a beer and food break! We all packed bags full of food and beverage so that we could enjoy our island adventure to the fullest.

It was pretty fun, especially since we were biking on the tow path along the perimeter of the island... right along the Yangzi... boats and barges on the left and rice fields and farmland on the right. Very cool.

And to make all my fellow Lions proud... I was taking a little rest at one of our stops and everyone decided to make me look like the group alkie... So they piled on the bottles!
